Powers Products Completes Wish for Wheels Bike Build for Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver

On December 2nd, Powers Products Co. hosted a community service and team-building event organized through Wish for Wheels. 19 employees participated to build 35 new bikes through a variety of fun competitions designed to foster teamwork.  The group then visited the Cope Branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver to donate the bikes and new helmets to 35 very deserving kids.  “It was the perfect way to kick off the holiday season,” said Brent Powers, CEO of Powers Products Co.  “Wish for Wheels provided us with a fun way to make a big impact on these kids’ lives.  Everyone who participated really enjoyed the experience, and we’re already thinking about how we can do more with it next year.” Wish for Wheels is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to transform the lives of kids from low-income families through the gift of a new bicycle, broadening their scope for personal growth and a healthy lifestyle.  Their vision is that every kid will one day have a new bicycle and helmet.  To learn more, please visit www.wishforwheels.org. Modernus…..Empowering Design With Glass

Powers recent partnership with Modernus has expanded it’s Space Flexibility portfolio with a new modern architectural glass wall system.  The Modernus Lama is an elegant, versatile glass wall system that maintains the same proportions in all of its elements to ensure complete visual symmetry.  The Lama offers a 1-1/2″ top and bottom profile with a +/- 1″ adjustability (1” on the lower profile and 1” on the upper profile) for simplified installation.  Designed with an integrated sliding track system incorporating sliding doors with visual continuity requiring no alteration or additional installation time.  Lama is offered as a frameless or framed glass system in single or dual glaze to provide superior sound performance and comes in a wide range of anodized finishes.  Modernus also provides the flexibility of incorporating flush, prehung wood modules into the Lama glass wall system with their Fimo product line.  The Fimo wood modules use the most advanced construction technology available with magnetic locks, concealed hinges, tension bars and adjustable features working together with the Lama to create a sense of true design sophistication.  With Modernus, wood and glass are kept on the same visual plane, elevating the design aesthetic....

Burkett Design wins IIDA Award for Holland & Hart Denver Office featuring Modernfold Acousti-Clear Glass Wall System

On September 16, 2016 the International Interior Design Association Rocky Mountain Chapter held their 2016 BESTawards. Powers would like to join IIDA in congratulating Burkett Design on their “Best of the Best” and “Best Project over 50,000 sf” win for the Holland & Hart Denver Office.  The BESTawards is a design excellence awards program that recognizes interior design projects going beyond a pretty picture and truly encompassing Brilliantly Executed Spaces and Thinking.  They recognize that successful interior design requires a collaboration between many disciplines, conulstant teams, project managers, vendors, contractors, manufacturers reps, etc.; therefore the awards acknowledge all who contributed to the project’s success. Broncos Thrive in Indoor Practice Facility

Powers is proud to have partnered with the Denver Bronco Super Bowl Champions as they prepared for their big win in the new state-of-the-art 90,000 square foot indoor practice facility in Centennial, Colorado featuring Kalwall translucent panels. Translucent Kalwall panels allow filtered, natural light into the facility so players can work on their game without the harsh glare, hot spots and shadows often associated with traditional skylights and glazing.  Designed by Sink Combs Dethlefs and built by Saunders Construction, Powers and Kalwall were brought in early in the design process to perform Daylight studies to ensure optimal light transmission levels, energy performance and aesthetics.
