AIMS Community College Welcome Center

Powers was engaged early in the design process by Hord Coplan Macht (HCM) to help solve a few challenges 105,720-sq ft Welcome Center on the Greeley Campus. This facility offers access to all student services in one central location requiring unique opportunities for space flexibility, interior/exterior connectivity, and building code compliance solutions. Designed as a hub of collaboration, the multi-use building features a variety of meeting, banquet, and large communal spaces are designed to facilitate connections among students, faculty, and the broader community. Lyle Achziger, Chair of Aims Board of Trustees observed, “The new Welcome Center epitomizes the success of Aims in its design and function… and the center serves not only students but community members and institutions as well.”
