JOB SUMMARY:

Performs a wide variety of duties related to construction, installation and the assembly of architectural products.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand basic construction principles sufficient to:
    • Use basic construction tools and equipment
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or other specifications
    • Troubleshoot installation problems
    • Keep job sites clean and organized
    • Unload/load material from/to delivery vehicles
  • Professional representation of Powers Products in the field
  • Communicate with project managers, supervisors, and other staff regarding work progress
  • Follows Powers Products Safety policies

REQUIRED SKILLS & EDUCATION:

  • Ability to read and understand Construction Documents, Blueprints and Installation Procedures
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and most importantly in writing
  • Ability to operate Tools and Equipment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One-year minimum of field construction experience
  • Insurable driving record & clean MVR

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Industrial and Commercial construction sites
  • Physical work including heavy lifting up to 50 pounds individually and more within a team
  • Travel and periodic durations out of town
  • Overtime is common
  • Work performed on ladders, scaffolding and ariel lifts
  • Safety equipment and PPE are to be always worn

PAY & BENEFITS:

Pay range: apprentice – journeyman $21-$31 per hour depending on experience
