Settled below beautiful Mount Blanca, the new Sierra Grande School utilizes “Passive House” building envelope technologies to deliver energy and cost savings to achieve an award-winning “future-proof” building for the community. Featured in this sustainable are Kalwall translucent wall panels and Solatube tubular daylighting devices.

Designed by Cuningham, Sierra Grande School recently received a 2023 Design + Honor Award of Excellence and Sustainability Recognition from the Colorado Chapter of The American Institute of Architects, recognizing Colorado architecture firms, projects, and architects for outstanding design and exemplary service.
